A Vistor From the Fairy Lands

When I was a little girl my favorite book was a beautifully illustrated copy of Peter Pan. One of the reasons I loved the book so much was becuase Tinkerbell had a head full of beautiful red hair. This little gal reminded me of that picture so I named her Shayla which is Celtic for Fairy Lands. Shayla is a 12 inch Waldorf doll. She is made with 100% cotton interlock and stuffed with super soft lamb's wool. Her hair is red mohair and her face is hand embroidered with cotton floss. She is on sale in my Etsy shop for $45.00.

Tuesday

We organized the guest room and did some day dreaming. Day dreams of gardens and picnics.
Bear's little girl giggles. Goose's baby belly laughs. A silly moment only sisters can share.

Moments of Spring

Muffins for dinner. Jumping in rain puddles. A double bath.

New Beginings.

We are entering a period of change over here in Goose Beary Land. It's March which means that even though the temperatures are still a bit on the cool side the sun has taken on the qualities of spring and birds are starting to chirp again. Some times it seems like a cruel joke to wake up to chirping birds, overwhelming sunshine streaming through your window, and 30 degree weather. But at least there is the promise of spring in the air. There are changes taking place indoors as well as we pack up the little duplex we have been living in for almost four years and prepare to move across town into our very first home. We are thrilled to set down some permanent rooms and to have more space for our little family. It will be sad though to leave this place. It is the only home our marriage and our daughters have ever known. Goose is growing like a weed and is now pulling herself up on things and standing. She even lets go and can stand rather firmly on her own to feet. That is until she re...

My First Give Away!

It's finally here! My first give away! My blog has been up and running for a year now. While I am still not updating as much as I would like I have become a lot more consistent. I have discovered an amazing community on here and have had a wonderful time. I look forward to the next year. Now, on to the give away.     As promised I am giving away the above book mark. I also decided to add in a cupcake washcloth since I had such positive feedback. To enter the give away leave a comment bellow. Becoming a follower of course gets you a second entry. Please leave a separate comment to let me know. Good luck! I will be choosing a winner next Sunday evening.

Inspiration and a Dolly

And adorable little gal I have been working on for my sister to give as a gift. She is ten inches tall and I am absolutely in love with her. She was a practice doll with a pattern I drafted myself so I made her with pollyfill and a cotton blend interlock. Can't wait to make one up with real materials! So what is inspiring you today? To be perfectly honest I am packing and my house is a disaster so I'm not feeling inspired at all. I am often very inspired by a clean home though so maybe I should get off here and clean so I can feel inspired. I will let you know how it goes.
