Prepairing for market day.

So last week my mother-in-law and I went to the farmers market. I love our farmer's market. You can get everything from fresh produce, yarn spun locally, local honey, meet, cheese, jewelry, and clothes for your little girls and their dolls. I love wandering around the market. You never know what you will find there. Last week I bought some honey in hopes of reducing the families allergies.

One thing I did find odd at the market though was the fact that every one was using plastic bags. For some reason it just seemed odd. So since Ruth and I are going back tomorrow to buy stuff for fresh veggies soup and grilled cheese sandwiches I decided to make a market bag.

I also made some bread for the grilled chesse. Maybe I am odd but I think a perfectly brown load of bread is so pretty! Since I was on a domestic spree today I decided to go ahead and roast a chicken for the first time today. Didn't take pictures of that but it definately turned out really well.

Abi Bear is with the grandparents tonight so I'm going to go spend some time with Josh. I leave you with this quote from my Susan Branch day book.

"My kitchen is a mystical place, a kind of temple for me. It is a place where the surfaces seem to have significance, where the sounds and odors carry meaning that transfers from the past and bridges to the future." Pearl Bailey
